Lors d'un voyage en Grèce, un groupe de jeunes Américains étudiants en archéologie découvre dans la mer Egée une urne qui pourrait bien se révéler être la légendaire boîte de Pandore !
A peine s'émerveillent-ils de leur découverte qu'ils sont assaillis par un groupe de mercenaires. Au même moment, une terrible tempête éclate.
